Here are answers to questions I get from time to time and others that you might wonder. This page is designed to help you before you ask me anything :)

Where did you get your theme?

You can find my theme here, it’s the one called “Pretty in Pink”. :)

Will you follow me back?

It depends if I like your blog or not. If I followed everyone who asked me, my dashboard would be unreadable. It already goes too fast for me to keep up with sometimes! ;) So I will definitely check out blogs from anyone who asks me to, but I can’t promise to follow back.

Will you promote me?

Of course I will! :) I do weekly promotion posts so if you send me a message asking me to promote you, I’ll gladly add you to it.

When did you start your blog?

I created my tumblog in mid-june. :)

How many followers do you have?

That is a number I keep to myself, mostly because I think it’s irrelavant to anyone but me. :)

Where do you find the pictures you post?

You can click on any picture on my blog to find out, they all have a click-through link that should take you to its source!

How do I post pictures from FlickR?

You need to go to goodies (third link at the top when you’re on your dash), when you’re there you should see a link to a bookmark that says “share on tumblr” on your left. For Mac users, you simply need to drag and drop the link in your bookmarks bar. For Explorer users, you need to right-click on the link and add it to your favorites. With that done, go to flickR, find the picture you want to post on tumblr. When you’re on the right page, click on “share on tumblr” and a pop up should appear on your screen. Go to the “photo” tab and select the picture you want to post (it should be appearing in small size in the window). Click “create post” and the picture should appear on your blog! Tada! :)

Any advice on how to get more followers?

Just be active and friendly to everyone. Make friends, message people, reblog from others, it gets your blog out there! Post pictures you like, don’t try and post pictures that you think others will like. People need to see your blog is unique and shows what YOU are like, not what they see on a hundred other blogs. Remember you made your blog for you, not for others, that’s the most important thing!

How did you come up with your URL?

Opalineskies comes from the fact that I love the opal gem (see picture here). “Opaline” is the french word that describes its color. And well, wouldn’t the sky be beautiful if it was that particular color? ;)

Why didn’t you publish my message?

If I feel like I’m flooding my followers’ dashboard with too many messages, I’ll start answering messages by writing in the person’s askbox. That way I don’t annoy everyone with text on their dashboard when all they really want to see, are pictures! :D I get quite a few messages in a day so it’s a way to keep my blog from being all text and no pictures. :)
